Who is this guy?
I am a hick from Carrier Mills, Illinois who somehow managed to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SIU-C, and found myself commissioned as a Probationary Elder in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church.
These days I am a real theology wonk, focusing mainly on process theology, neo-orthodoxy, existential theology, and narrative-linguistic theology.
I’m also obsessed with blues, rock, and singer-songwriter type music, Fender Telecasters, ukuleles, and pretty much any other instrument with strings.

I love your byline. When I was just out of seminary I had a church member who, from the first time I saw him, called me “freach”, cause he said I was the freakiest preacher he had ever met. I think it was because he had a “norml” t-shirt on and I knew what it meant. If you know what I mean.
Willie- LOVE the blog. Congrats on your ordination. I’m glad the UMC recognizes your gifts. Keep pushing the envelope.
