Summer Colds

September 6, 2005

Man, summer colds are the worst. I feel miserable, in the physical sense. Congestion, cough, my eyes sting and water, I’m constantly sniffling and rubbing my nose with a hanky, and generally feeling run down.

And it’s the first day of school.

Friends want to shake my hand or hug me and I feel rude telling them, “I’ve got a cold and you don’t want it.”

It’s been a long summer, and now back to the grind of schoolwork. I’ll love it though. I have a class on hermeneutics and the Gospel according to Mark; one on theological anthropology (human nature in relation to God); and one on United Methodist History and Doctrine. Should be a hoot.
