If you don’t like the Beatles, and you don’t like electric guitar, don’t play this one.
Jeff Beck – “A Day in the Life” (Lennon/McCartney)
A great version of what might be my favorite rock and roll song ever.

What a great version of that song. Beck is a master. I could listen to him all day long. Thanks Will.
That is probably my favorite Beatles song, and I thought that Beck’s version was awesome. Thanks for sharing man.
A Day in the Life is definitely my favorite Beatles song, and maybe my vote for best song in all of rock music. Beck’s version IMHO is stunning and captures the feel of the original. Not many guitarists can capture the drama and poignancy of a song like that. Maybe Leo Kottke, Jim Campilongo or the late Roy Buchanan – but they are the elite of the elite.
